Time, Talents, and Treasure: A Workshop on

Stewardship and Discipleship

        Trinity Reformed Church

        909 Landing Road North

        Rochester, NY  14625

        Saturday morning, September 11, 2010

Kirsty DePree, Coordinator for Discipleship, RCA

Roger De Young, Coordinator for Mission Development, RCA

        Overview:

The Christian life is not only about being blessed by God. It

is also about responding to Christ's love. That is the heart

of discipleship: to show our love for God in what we do, to

seek to thank Jesus in our everyday lives. The opportunity to

do this touches everything. It is a matter of stewardship, the

proper and grateful use of all that God has given us.

This workshop focuses on three areas of stewardship through

the lens of Christian stewardship. Time: how does my life as a

disciple revolve around the clock, with its challenges and

limitations, and what are some ways I can challenge our fast

paced culture? Talent: what are my gifts as a disciple of

Christ, and what opportunities might I have to use those gifts

so I, and others, may grow? Treasure: how ought my financial

blessings be used for Kingdom work?
